A French customer of ours has to process very different pallet sizes, while at the same time the highest safety standards prevail there: challenges that the Baust team met well thanks to their many years of experience.
This global player specializes in nutritional therapies. Therefore, the stringent hygiene requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries apply there. The company also wants to prevent accidents of any kind within its own operations. For us, this meant that we had to upgrade our pallet changer. PW 800 They had to take extra precautions to secure it: It is now surrounded by a 2,90-meter-high fence with very fine mesh and is only accessible through a secure and space-saving sliding door. The main switch is lockable. A high-resolution safety light curtain and laser scanner ensure that the machine shuts itself down immediately if the danger zone is entered. The pneumatics were also upgraded and, among other things, improved to safety class PL d. To provide double protection in the event of a power outage, the machine was fitted with additional brakes for the tipping basket. Thus, the PW 800 the customer's high security requirements, which far exceed the prescribed standards.
