KRS Series | KRS die insert for the plastics industry
The KRS series offers numerous advantages to users in the plastics industry. Through the Rotary die-cutting technology Rotary die cutters operate more quietly and energy-efficiently than conventional hydraulic or pneumatic die-cutting units. The control system and electronics are integrated into the space-saving aluminum base. This design allows the rotary die cutter to be integrated into an existing production line with minimal effort and space requirements.
The rotary die-cutting machine is installed in front of the cutting unit and is a standalone die-cutting machine. It can be used as a standalone unit or integrated into an existing production line. A measuring wheel records the channel speed, and the rotary die-cutting unit operates synchronously with the line speed. Tool changes, and therefore product changes, can be carried out safely within minutes.
Plastic materials up to 4 mm material thickness They can be processed much more efficiently using Baust rotary die cutters.

KRS Extensions
KRS punching machines offer further possibilities for critical applications:
FX-Drive for variable, pre-programmable hole spacing: The servo motor with powerful control punches hole sequences at pre-programmed hole spacings. Depending on the product or desired hole pattern, the individual sequences can be stored in "recipes" and conveniently recalled from the operating terminal.
Hole detection and analysis using digital image processing. A special image processing sensor, light source, and analysis software determine the hole shape and position with 100% accuracy and compare them to a reference image. If an (adjustable) threshold is exceeded, the system generates a warning or stop signal. A 100% accurate result is therefore guaranteed.
KRS series rotary die cutter
Take advantage of the modern KRS series rotary die-cutter and optimize your production processes many times over. In the plastics industry, Baust die-cutters are among the most efficient of their kind: space-saving and energy-efficient with high production speeds.

From corner angle production to profile machining, all applications are covered.
The KRS series plastic rotary die-cutting machine from Baust processes a wide variety of plastic materials up to 4 mm thick. Whether for corner angles, hole punching, or complex profile machining, the rotary technology enables precise results at high production speeds of up to 50 m/min. An integrated measuring wheel automatically synchronizes the die-cutting speed with the line speed of your production.
The servo-controlled FX-Drive allows variable hole spacings to be pre-programmed and saved as recipes. Optional digital image processing inspects each punch 100%, comparing hole shape and position to the reference image. This ensures reproducible quality in series production without manual checks.
Configure your plastic rotary die-cutting machine to match your production line
Baust designs each plastic rotary die-cutting machine as a self-contained unit that can operate independently or be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines. The control system and electronics are housed compactly in the aluminum base. With dimensions of 1000 mm in width and 1000 mm in depth, the machine fits into confined production environments.
The automatic opening mechanism allows tool changes during ongoing production. The gears remain permanently engaged, maintaining synchronous positioning. This design significantly reduces setup times and minimizes production downtime during product changes.
Compact design and small footprint for any production process
A Baust plastic rotary die-cutting machine, weighing 350 kg, requires no extensive foundation work. Its 400 V, 16 A power supply meets standard industrial requirements. The noise level is between 65 and 78 dB(A) at a distance of one meter, significantly lower than comparable hydraulic or pneumatic die-cutting units.
