AX-Drive Dip & Drop
Punching – Ejecting
By using two successive sets of tools in one die, our usual die-cutting process is divided into two phases: die-cutting and ejection (dip & drop).
The new two-phase principle offers users numerous advantages. The most significant advantage is that now Metals and plastics up to 5 mm can be punched.
Furthermore, this principle has a positive effect on the punching forces and thus on energy consumption. Punching forces can be significantly reduced. This results in less drive power being required, and therefore the Operating costs reduced .
A positive side effect of the minimized punching forces is that the forces acting on the punching shafts are also reduced. Lower forces result in smaller diameters, allowing the use of longer shafts. This means for our customers: Punching of wider product materials is possible.
Another advantage is the increased tool lifeStamp wear is noticeably minimized.
Of course, the die-cutting insert can still be used for direct die-cutting with thinner materials. This allows our customers to remain flexible. an insert for two procedures.
Technical information
- Width: approx 1.000 mm
- Height: about 1.000 mm
- Depth: approx. 800 mm
- Weight: about 1000 kg
- Drive power: 1 – 3 kW
- Power rating: 400V / 16A
- Low noise < 65 – 78 dB(A) at 1 m distance
options
- FX-Drive control for variable hole spacing
- Output signal for controlling the separation unit
- Indicator light
Advantages of the new procedure:
✔ Material thicknesses up to 5 mm
✔ Improved tool life: Due to reduced die wear
✔ Wider product webs: Through the use of longer shafts
✔ Setup time savings: Through 2 processes in one machine
✔ Energy-saving: Lower punching forces due to dividing the punching process into two phases
✔ Disposal of die slugs in a production-safe manner: No slug disposal in the dies
